My journey as a business owner started back in 2020, when I was still working special events in corporate and living in career limbo due to the pandemic. This limbo meant I was building Nori Event Co. on the side, with the intent of going full-time in the future. Little did I know, the future would come in October 2020 when my entire department was laid off.
Looking back now, what seemed like the biggest career setback was the biggest catalyst in taking a leap of faith and betting on myself. I was no longer tied to someone else’s rules and expectations. I could create an environment where I thrived. One that aligned with what’s important to me and how I work best and with people who were excited for my help and expertise.
From October 2020 until December 2023, I worked with select clients in the realm of project management, virtual events, and strategic planning. Despite creating my business with the intent of staying in the world of events, I found my time spent more on project management, planning and being the right-hand person for my clients. Think of me as the person behind the scenes keeping everything moving forward.
Early in 2023, I had my light bulb moment. Have you ever had one of those? A moment where everything just clicked, and you knew deep down that you were meant for something more in your business? That's exactly what happened to me in May 2023. I was suffering from a severe case of burnout, felt stuck in my situation, and was spending more time working in/on my client’s business than my own. I had all these ideas, dreams and goals for myself, and they kept being put on the backburner. Sound familiar?
My ticket out of burnout and getting back in alignment? Becoming a certified Director of Operations, where I was able to level up as a business owner and make the decision to pivot from implementation to strategy. This decision not only provided the practical skills I use to help my own clients (you!) but also the mindset shifts necessary to scale my own business with intention.
Think about this for a second, all it takes is one decision to change the trajectory/course of your business. With me by your side, all it will take is two weeks to feel confident in your business again – to be clear on your mission, vision and values, to get everything out of your head (and I mean everything…every idea, every challenge, every “I wish I could do…”), and to prioritize those ideas, thoughts and projects into a plan that aligns with you.

I’ve always had a passion for helping others (maybe that’s the oldest child in me or the Enneagram 6) bring their vision to life. It wasn’t until I started my business owner era and then pivoted my business that I realized the true impact I could have as a strategic partner. There is so much joy in guiding someone through the process of turning their dreams into reality.
Strategic planning sounds intimidating, and it can be overwhelming. But when we work together, you’ll have a safe space to speak freely about your business, uncover any current or future roadblocks, and dream big about those ideas that have been on the back burner for months. Then, I’ll help you create a strategic, operational plan to pull ALL this information together in an easy-to-use format that organizes projects based on your current priorities. If you’re the type of person who needs a little accountability to keep moving forward (I know I do!), then you’re in luck because that’s an option too!
Now, if you’re thinking. “Okay, Jessica this sounds great but what else?”. As a former student-athlete, some habits die hard. I believe what you put in is what you get out. Now, I’m not saying you need to work 24/7 and go hard all the time. Because if you do then you’re likely going to burn out and hate your business. Instead, I’m a firm believer in lifelong learning and being intentional with your time, energy and resources. If it doesn’t feel right, then it probably isn’t right for you.

What do i believe in?
Jessica started her business owner journey in 2020 with Nori Event Co. The company was created to serve small businesses, nonprofits and solopreneurs in their journey to provide memorable experiences for their clients through virtual events and online programs. Thanks to her valuable experience, Jessica helped clients bring their vision to life and host innovative events and programs within their communities and various industries. In 2022, Jessica brought her own virtual event vision to life with the Doer to Your Dreamer Summit and she has big plans to elevate the Doer to Your Dreamer brand in the future.
Her current chapter in business is focused on serving as a Director of Operations for women looking to build and scale with intention. In this capacity, she brings her expertise and perspective to elevate client’s business operations and empower other women to build their business around their life not the other way around.
Throughout her education and early career, Jessica has been the go-to person to seamlessly plan and execute. Her keen attention to detail and emphasis on quality and timelines ensures success in her endeavors, whether that’s planning and executing an event or putting a process in place to ensure future triumphs. Think of her as the “doer” to your “dreamer”, the person who loves all the details, researching new and better ways to execute and organizing your ideas into an actionable plan. Her expertise is in strategic planning, event planning, partnership activation, programming and project management. She honed these skills during stops at Hillerich & Bradsby, Disney Sports and ESPN Wide World of Sports and most recently, Minor League Baseball headquarters. At Minor League Baseball, Jessica focused on the development and execution of the MiLB Innovators Summit, Baseball Winter Meetings, MiLB Partner Summit and MiLB FIELD program. In addition, she coordinated the MiLB Special Events partnership process by creating new corporate partnership concepts, partnership sales and partnership activation; she also worked on the strategic planning and activation of annual charity initiatives as part of MiLB’s community engagement efforts.
Jessica received both her Master of Business Administration and Master of Sports Business Management from the University of Central Florida’s DeVos Sport Business Management Program. She also has a Bachelor of Science with a triple major in entrepreneurship, marketing and professional sales from Florida State University, where she was a softball student-athlete. In 2020, she earned a Digital Event Strategist certification from the Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA) and a Virtual Fundraising Event Management Certificate from the Event Leadership Institute. And if that wasn’t enough education, Jessica became a certified Director of Operations in 2023.
Jessica loves seeing the details and a great plan come to fruition, where other women are now empowered to intentionally build their business around the life they want to live!
